3: The Imagination

Imagination plays a huge role in anxiety because we are able to conjure scenarios that heighten fear, whether we are aware of it happening or not. When faced with uncertainty, our minds often create worst-case images, leading to dread and helplessness. This can distract from the present, as we dwell on what-ifs. By recognizing this pattern, we can challenge our thoughts and better distinguish between what is imagined and what is real.
